KICK-OFF CELEBRATION
The Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion, truly a week-long happening up and down the Monterey Peninsula, to host a “Celebration” event on Friday, August 6 to kick-off Motorsports Reunion Week.
The Celebration event will showcase vintage racecars scheduled to race during the Pre-Reunion August 7 and 8 and the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion August 13 through the 15 at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. In addition to the car show element Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca will be on-site providing racing and local attraction information.
The Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion is a celebration of motorsports history that reunites authentic race cars with a world-class track. This is where automotive history comes alive with such marques as the remarkable pre-war Bugattis, Alfa Romeos, and Talbot-Lagos to the more powerful Ferraris, Corvettes, Cobras and Porsches racing through the corners and down the famed corkscrew. The Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion enters a new dawn of historic racing by honoring one of the true legends of motorsports- Dan Gurney- the Cars He Built, the Cars He Drove.

MONTEREY COUNTY WINE TOUR
The Monterey County Vintners and Growers Association, along with Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, is offering attendees of the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion the opportunity to explore some of the finest wineries in the region while getting into the spirit of the Historics weekend. On Wednesday, August 11, a guided tour headed by the Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca Troy Lee-edition CX-9 pace car will lead participants on a circuit through the Monterey wine region.
The second annual Motorized Monterey Wine Country Tour is open to all car enthusiasts. You don’t have to be a member of a car club, or be part of a car corral – you just enjoy cars and being around other like-minded people! And what better way to start the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion weekend than with a drive through some of the spectacular Monterey County countryside? The cost to participate is $100 per person and includes coffee and pastries at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca and a lap of the track in the morning to start the day, tastings at all the day’s featured wineries, a first-class picnic lunch from Paradise Catering, and a Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca goody bag.
In order to make this a fun day for everyone space is limited to a maximum of 60 people, or 30 automobiles – whichever number is reached first.
